The aim of organic farming is to have an ecologically sustainable plantation, which includes conservation of the natural habitatt and resources, minimum pollution to soil, air and water and maintenance of sustainable farm production. The cultivation is done without the use of synthesized chemicals like pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, growth regulators and concentrated fertilisers. Naturally occuring, mined products and bulky and concentrated organic manures are used for produce nutrition and soil fertility maintenance. The pests and diseases are controlled by the use of resistant cultivars, regulating the micro-nutrients or by introducing biological control methods and/or the use of permitted plant extracts.
